Kneecap

Concert Poster

Kneecap came to Copenhagen (just across that Bridge - for any Scandi crime series fans) to play at the famous Vega venue. So they needed a poster, something that would be unmistankingly Copenhagen.

If you´ve ever been to Copenhagen, you´re sure to have visited the free town of Copenhagen. Christiania is an autonomous area in the heart of Copenhagen, created on a former military base. It has been a torn in the side of the ruling class of the city for many decades. But it has been a space for hope and solidarity for many of the city´s inhabitants.

So it felt fitting to give a clear nod to Christiania within the poster design. The iconic three circles, the symbol of the free town takes up the central part of this design.

Bevar Christiania has been the rallying call in the defence of the free town on the many occasions its very existence has been threatened by the authorities.
